NEW Smashbox Be Legendary & Always on Matte Liquid Lipsticks
A couple of weeks ago (I think it was a couple of weeks...I lose track of time these days!), I was invited to Boots in Brighton for an evening of testing and trying out some new launches by Smashbox. It's a brand I haven't had much experience with in the past, having only really tried a mascara of theirs and a primer. The new Be Legendary range is full of totally on-trend liquid lipsticks, covering both plain colours and a gorgeous collection of metallics, which were all designed by their lip editor-in-chief, Vlada Haggerty (otherwise known as VladaMUA on Instagram, famous for her incredible lip art). Smashbox and Vlada are a lip match made in heaven which has produced some stunning products that are not only high quality in finish, but also available in some pretty cool shades.
COMING SOON: Gobsmacked Lipsticks (The New Brand You NEED To Know About)
Back when I started this blog, I was obsessed with lipsticks. Anything bright and bold was adored, and I loved the way a sassy colour on my lips could make me feel instantly confident. Pinks and reds were my main choice, however, fast forward a few years and (although I do love a red lip from time to time- who doesn't!?) it's mainly understated nude tones that I wear more in my day to day life, if I wear any at all! When Sophie Ebeling, founder of Gobsmacked, emailed me regarding her new lipstick brand I was so intrigued. I'm very fussy about the quality of lipsticks that I wear- anything other than nourishing, long-lasting, true-to-colour and comfortable and it's chucked aside. On my first try of this stunning new product I knew this was going to be a brand to watch.

6 Simple Ways To Boost Your Confidence
Confidence is something I have never had much of. Being naturally quite shy, coupled with my experience of trichotillomania, meant that I have always done everything I can to deflect any attention away from myself. However, with time, my confidence has grown so much. University brought me out of my shell and my acceptance of my hair loss has taught me to not feel as self-conscious of how I look. Although for some it comes with time and age, there are some smaller day-to-day things I do that help boost my confidence just a little; enough to give that feel-good, sassy, I-can-take-on-the-world feeling.

From Daytime to Evening with NYX Lipsticks
Greetings, people of the internet. Just a quick post today as I'm in the middle of my law exams (uurrrrggghhh), but in four days time they will all be over (yaaaaay)! I recently left my job in retail to start my career within the world of law, and as a little leaving gift my colleague, Hannah (who is just the most amazing human being in the world- I post a lot of photos of her baking skills on my Instagram) bought me a collection of goodies, including these beautiful NYX lipsticks. We clearly spend too much time together, as she knows me well enough to pick out the most perfect shades- I couldn't have chosen better myself! These are great little lipsticks which can take you from day to night with ease without breaking the bank. No wonder so many people are raving about them!
4 Red Lipsticks That I Wear Over And Over Again
I'm always buying new make-up, nearly as much as I buy new clothes. Popping into town and perusing the new launches is like a hobby in itself, but one which is quite damaging to my bank balance! If you're like me, you'll find yourself surrounded with all of these lovely products, yet only turn to a select few on a regular basis. Red lipstick is one of those classic beauty products that everyone has; it makes you feel instantly glamourous and looks incredibly sophisticated. These four beauties are the red lipsticks I find myself using time and time again- they are reliable, amazing quality and simply the best in my mahoosive collection, to the point where I rarely use any other red lippies!

Getting Festive! Christmas Gift Ideas For Beauty Lovers (For All Budgets)
It's that time of the year: festive songs are being played in shops, mince pies are being stocked in supermarkets, and your thoughts turn to the dreaded task of Christmas shopping. It's a part of Christmas that most people dread, but not me- I'm one of those weirdos that start their planning their Christmas shopping in September! Having written endless plans and lists of potential gift ideas for relatives (organisation is key in such a tremendous task), I thought I would do the job for you and compile a list of the best beauty buys that have started arriving in stores for Christmas. Whether they serve as Christmas gifts ideas for family, friends, or a little treat to yourself (go on, you deserve it), here are some of the best beauty gift sets available these holidays for all budgets.
Amazing Lipsticks For The Festive Season: Clinique Pop Lip Colour & Primer (Free With Glamour!)
I rarely buy magazines nowadays, but when I saw that Glamour were dishing out free Clinique goodies with the purchase of their December issue I just couldn't resist indulging in the glossy mag. With this issue, you have a choice of four things; a daily moisturiser, mascara or two Pop Lip colours. I've had my eye on Clinique's Pop Lip range since they first launched, and after much umm-ing and ahh-ing, decided not to splash out. Seeing their collaboration with Glamour, then, filled me with much money-saving delight! It turns out I was right to eye up these gorgeous lipsticks as they are an amazing burst of high quality colour.
HEMA: The Dutch Beauty Brand You NEED To Know About
Discovering new brands is so much fun, oui? From soaking in all the KIKO sights when it first opened its store in Brighton, to finding professional/affordable brands such as Freedom, uncovering something a bit new and different keeps the beauty game refreshing. My colleague has always raved about KIKO and told me I should try a brand called 'HEMA'. I jotted the name down but never got round to researching. Lo and behold, on one of my boring commutes back to Brighton I came across one of these spectacular HEMA stores in London Victoria. To sum up, they sell pretty much everything and their make-up is amazing.

MOVE OVER MAC! Why KIKO Are The Brand You Need To Know For The Hottest Lip Products
Having had a massive make-up clear out recently, my heavy-handedness with the chucking-out left me with no red lipsticks. So, as a little graduation present to myself, I indulged in a shiny, luxurious MAC lipstick...which left me incredibly underwhelmed (you can read the full post here). Feeling a tad spontaneous on my lunch-break one day, I ventured into Churchill Square and stumbled into the newly opened KIKO store. After trying a couple of shades, I left the store with this gorgeous trio, and you know what? The colours, packaging and quality all surpass the infamous bloggers' favourite, MAC.
I Bought A MAC Lipstick And It Didn't Change My Life
Ah, the beauty world. So full of wonderful things, so full of hypes. Being someone who is constantly critical and wary of make-up hypes, I try to test out products with an open mind in order to answer the real question: is it worth the money, and is it worth all this overly exaggerated chit-chat? Some products genuinely are; I absolutely adored Benefit's Roller Lash, and have grown to love other cult classics such as Collection's Lasting Perfection concealer. Unfortunately, others do not fit that bill.
Arbonne: Fab Quality Products And One Of The Best Primers I've Ever Used (PLUS WIN!)
It's not often that I get super excited about discovering a new lipstick. With so many new launches out there reaching the beauty shelves seemingly every week, it's easy for lip products to get lost amongst the rest. What's even more exciting, is that these new favourite bullets of colour also come from a new brand discovery. I had never heard of Arbonne before being sent these products, but I have been so impressed by their lipsticks and primer that they have become a staple of my beauty routine; quite a feat considering the size of my makeup collection!
Old Treasure: 3 MORE Products I've Rediscovered And Am Loving
Last week, I wrote a post about some products I had dug out whilst having a beauty sort out. They were old favourites of mine that had gotten lost amidst the sea of new purchases, and had been sitting all lonely on the back of the shelf. Well, it turns out there were quite a few treasures I had totally forgotten about, so here are three more products that I've recently fallen in love with all over again...(I have so many I could make this a new feature!)
My Top 3 Lipsticks That Are Fit For Spring (And All Budgets)
Alongside the big ol' Spring clean, I always give my wardrobe and make-up routine an overhaul too. Gone are the mattes and darker shades; out come the bright dresses, dewy foundations and coral lipsticks. In preparation for summer, I love matching my make-up to reflect the weather (as weird as that sounds)- the sun just makes me want to experiment with bright colours! One thing that I love swapping (and that is the easiest change to make) is lipstick colours. Here are my top 3 that'll keep you looking fabulous through this season, all the way to Summer.

Miners Cosmetics: The £2.50 Lipsticks That Really Deliver
It's finally looking like Spring! This means that the deep berry hues we've been wearing on our lips can be replaced with beautifully bright corals, reds and pinks to celebrate the emergence of the sun. Bringing out the bold colours within make-up symbolises the start of Spring/Summer for me...sounds like a perfect excuse to go shopping for new lipsticks! I'd never really heard of Miners' cosmetics range, let alone tried anything, before I was sent these two lipsticks as part of my 'Share The Beauty' collaboration a couple of months ago. Yet again, I assumed cheap price equals cheap quality and was proved absolutely wrong by these two lipsticks.
Pass The Parcel: #ShareTheBeauty with InPost
Back in late 2014, I was approached by InPost to do a special collaboration involving 9 other beauty bloggers. Each of us were sent £200 to spend on beauty products to send to the next blogger in the chain, like an amazing make-up themed game of pass the parcel. Judging by my love for fun projects and make-up, I wasn't exactly going to refuse. Each beauty parcel was to be shipped off to the lucky recipient using InPost, a simple yet efficient new postal service.

Maybelline ColorSensational Lipsticks
I got these beautiful Maybelline lipsticks from Cosmetics Fairy for about £1 each (you can read about my haul here). While there wasn't a lot of colours to choose from, I'm glad that there were at least some wearable shades. I was hoping to snap up some beautiful reds or pinks for the minuscule price tag, but these 2 shades were the only ones available that would suit my skin tone. While they're not the usual colours I'd go for, I'm so glad I did as they are both sublime.

L'Oreal Infallible Lipstick
Along with the Maybelline ColorSensational lipsticks I posted about, you might also remember reading about this L'Oreal Infallible lipstick in my Cosmetics Fairy haul. L'Oreal is a brand known for excelling in lip products; from glosses to lipsticks, they own the high street market. They are a brand from which you know you will get superb quality products, long-lasting wear and value for money, and it is no different for this Infallible lipstick.
