Christmas Review: Soap & Glory BeautyFull House Gift Set

Each year, my Mum seems to treat me to some Soap & Glory make-up bits and bobs for Christmas. Although some love their huge bath and body promotion that is on just before Christmas, I actually way prefer their make-up. I don't know if my Mum intended it, but it seems to have become a Christmas tradition now, ha! As you might be aware (from the amount I rave about it), I absolutely adore their brow pencil and also really rate their SuperCat eyeliner (both of which I also received for Christmas, thanks Mum!). But alongside these, I love trying out other bits and bobs from their make-up range. This year I received their BeautyFull House which provided me with some more exciting pieces to try out.

Christmas Is Coming! Insanely Cute Beauty Stocking Filler Ideas For Under £15

It's the first day of December! Christmas is now officially upon us as we open the first window of our advent calendars and start putting up our Christmas trees. If you haven't done so already, it's time to turn your attention to Christmas shopping. Whether you are buying for family, friends or within a Secret Santa set-up, we all know that when you end up doing the maths, we always spend far too much on presents. This year, I have decided to move house just before Christmas, meaning that all of my present-buying budget has gone into a deposit- YAY! As a result, this Christmas is going to be 'toned-done' (as much as I can), so this post serves as a way to show that you can get incredibly cute Christmas gifts on a budget.

Budget-But-Brilliant Alternatives to Beauty Advent Calendars

As we creep towards the end of November, the Christmas music is already playing in stores, present-buying is underway and people are starting to snap up their advent calendars ahead of the 1st December. Beauty advent calendars seem to be bigger than ever this year, with seemingly every brand under the sun launching their own windowed treats for you to indulge yourself in. Whilst technically you do end up 'saving money' due to the amount of products inside, with most calendars starting at £40 (minimum!), it does seem like an extortionate price for sample-sized products- half of which we probably won't use/ don't want. What happened to the good old few quid choccie ones, eh?! If your budget can't quite stretch to these calendars, here are a few options which will give you a bit of indulgence each day of December whilst saving a few pennies to spend on Christmas gifts.

Choc On Choc: The Ultimate Personalised Gift Destination For Chocolate Lovers

When it comes to finding the perfect edible gift, my only two real options have only ever been baking or Thorntons personalised chocolates. I can remember first discovering popping into the local Thorntons shop in High Wycombe and finding out that you can personalise your chocolate gifts. The icing writing on chocolate figurines or blocks was the pinnacle of personalised gift shopping, but after years of it being around (and the chocolate not even tasting that great), I think it's time that some alternative gift inspiration came to light. Whilst looking for presents for my chocolate-loving boyfriend, I came across Choc On Choc; a chocolatier website that offers personal gifts with a unique twist.

I Just Love It: Quirky, Personalised Gifts For Those Who Have Everything

You may have seen on my social media that last Thursday I went to London to make pizza with gift gurus, I Just Love It. The whole idea of the marvelous evening was to make personalised pizzas in line with the brand's notoriety for personalised gifts. Genius, eh?! Aside from stuffing our faces with carbs and washing it down with bubbly, getting to grips with the products they sell was just as big a pleasure. It can often get quite tedious trying to think of original, thoughtful presents for occassions like Christmas, birthdays and anniversaries, so a helping hand from brands such as I Just Love It is always welcomed!

Jersey: The Perfect Place For A Relaxing Weekend Break

With Valentine's Day around the corner and Mother's Day not too far off that, lots of you will be looking for cheap weekend breaks to go away on with your loved ones. When it comes to holidays, many of us look abroad for our yearly dose of beaches and sunshine, but we often forget about the gems we have closer to home. In December, I went to Jersey (a UK Channel Island) with my mum; it was the perfect early Christmas present! This post is largely photos, but also a reminder that you don't have to jet off to a paradise island when we already are one! We stayed at the Grand Jersey hotel, situated a 5/10 minute walk from the bustling hub of St Helier town and right opposite a gorgeous beach with a view of Elizabeth Castle. It's a fabulous location for anyone looking for a short break (I think there are quite a few lovely hotels around this small area); there's a spa, town, beach, historical activities and a littering of delicious restaurants to choose from. What more would you want?!

The Best Things In Life Are Three? The Soap & Glory Trio I've Fallen Head Over Heels For...

It's not Christmas without a Soap & Glory gift set of some sort, is it? This post is a bit overdue, as my wonderful mum got me this S&G trio for Christmas. However, I've been so wrapped up in actually using the products that I totally forgot to rave about them on this site. I know, what kind of blogger am I?! I am already a huge fan of Soap and Glory products; I use their Archery brow pencil everyday, adore their Supercat eyeliner, and simply cannot resist indulging myself in their body butters during these colder months. When I opened this beautiful little gift set on Christmas morning I knew my mum had got me sussed. The elegant box, topped with a present-appropriate bow, contains three products I had never tried before- a gold Thick & Fast mascara, Love at First Blush and a Sexy Motherpucker Gloss Stick in a gorgeous berry colour. It's safe to say I am in love with all three.

To give us a kickstart in getting excited for the 25th December, I've compiled a short list of things I love about this time of the year.
