Short Eyelashes? Sample-Sized Mascaras Could Be The Answer

Losing my eyelashes and eyebrows to trichotillomania at the age of 3 years old has meant that I don't know what it's like to apply make-up with lashes and brows; using beauty products to cover up the damage is all I've ever known. Therefore, I want to share any random tips and tricks I've learnt in my 7 or so years of applying make-up, in hope that it will not only help someone else, but also create an open space for other hair loss sufferers to share their nuggets of wisdom. Of course, today's post doesn't strictly apply to hair loss- many people naturally have short, stubby lashes. One thing I've found which helps loads in making the most of these little hairs is using a sample-sized mascara. Here's why...

4 Red Lipsticks That I Wear Over And Over Again

I'm always buying new make-up, nearly as much as I buy new clothes. Popping into town and perusing the new launches is like a hobby in itself, but one which is quite damaging to my bank balance! If you're like me, you'll find yourself surrounded with all of these lovely products, yet only turn to a select few on a regular basis. Red lipstick is one of those classic beauty products that everyone has; it makes you feel instantly glamourous and looks incredibly sophisticated. These four beauties are the red lipsticks I find myself using time and time again- they are reliable, amazing quality and simply the best in my mahoosive collection, to the point where I rarely use any other red lippies!

Amazing Lipsticks For The Festive Season: Clinique Pop Lip Colour & Primer (Free With Glamour!)

I rarely buy magazines nowadays, but when I saw that Glamour were dishing out free Clinique goodies with the purchase of their December issue I just couldn't resist indulging in the glossy mag. With this issue, you have a choice of four things; a daily moisturiser, mascara or two Pop Lip colours. I've had my eye on Clinique's Pop Lip range since they first launched, and after much umm-ing and ahh-ing, decided not to splash out. Seeing their collaboration with Glamour, then, filled me with much money-saving delight! It turns out I was right to eye up these gorgeous lipsticks as they are an amazing burst of high quality colour.

If I Was Rich... My High-End Beauty Wish-List

It seems to be the story of my life at the moment; dreaming about all the things I could treat myself to...if I had money. I wander around the counters of Boots and Debenhams swooning over new launches, tried classics and pretty packaging, wishing they were on my dressing table, yet leaving with nothing but yearning for some extra cash to splash out on some high-end treats with. There are a few products which I have been eyeing up for a while now, so I thought I'd compile a quick post of all those beauty goodies that I've been daydreaming about. Maybe one day....*sigh*

Clinique Superbalanced Foundation

I have used Clinique's Line Smoothing concealer for a few years now, and keep going back because I simply love the light, creamy formula combined with the good, even coverage. Seeing as I'm such a fan of this Clinique product, I thought I'd venture into their foundation range. As I chatted to the Clinique sales assistant in High Wycombe House of Fraser, I filled out a quick skin questionnaire and it was decided the Superbalanced foundation would be the perfect fit for me.

Clinique Line Smoothing Concealer

This Clinique 'Line Smoothing' concealer is a product I use every day so I thought it was about time it got its own little post. I had always stuck to cheaper concealers until my lovely mum recommended this one to me. Although I'm not quite old enough to benefit fully from the so-called 'line smoothing' effect, it's still a cracker of a concealer.

My Weekend: Superdrug Haul!

If you follow me on Twitter, you'll know that I was more than excited to spend my Sunday in Superdrug, spending all my money on any beauty product that particularly caught my eye. I actually ended up spending a lot less than anticipated, partly because I stuck to 'budget' products, but mainly because Superdrug have an incredible 3 for 2 offer on at the moment.

As many of the things I went in for were out of stock (namely the Accessorize Shimmer Block highlighter), I stuck to the 6 products. Within the 3 for 2 offer, you get the cheapest of the 3 free, so it's well worth trotting down there and stocking up on any of your beauty favourites. If you're a student, Superdrug also do 10% off when a valid NUS card is shown; another reason to splash you cash!
