Mastering The Cat Flick With Soap and Glory's Supercat Eyeliner

I'm quite boring with my make-up routine. It always features a dewy base, a dash of blush, and a bold cat flick, and has been this way for a good few years. As I moved into Sixth Form and we were allowed the privilege of wearing make-up, I discovered that bold eyeliner was a great way of disguising my lack of lashes; the flick at the end drawing attention away from my actual lash line. Since, I've been intent on finding the Mr Right of eyeliner to give me the perfect winged look. Using the Collection Fast Stroke one for years, my cousin recommended the Soap and Glory Supercat eyeliner...so here it is!

As you might know, I'm a big fan of Soap and Glory's Archery brow pen, but have heard their other make-up pieces can be a bit hit or miss. There's nothing majorly spectacular about the packaging (just an extension of the black and pink branding), but the quality of the eyeliner is truly something else.

Supercat comes in the form of a felt-tip style nib. I do often find that these dry out quite quickly or leave a watered-down colour, but this is not the case with this eyeliner. It is a really dark, bold colour, and the style of the nib makes cat flicks super easy to create. The pen is easy to control, allowing the creation of any eyeliner look a doddle, and you can change the angle of the pen to make your look more or less dramatic. The biggest selling point of this product is the longevity; it stays on all day with no budging, smudging or crumbling! I'm impressed!

One thing I would suggest with Supercat is to use the pen at a slight angle. I find using the very tip of the nib doesn't provide very good colour, so perhaps this isn't for you if you prefer a really thin liquid liner look. Other than that, this is a fantastic all-rounder and far better than other liquid liner pens on the high-street. You can pick one up for youself at Boots or online for £6.

What's your favourite liquid eyeliner?

  1. I'm yet to try any Soap and Glory products but this one looks rather intruiging. I haven't used a felt tip style liner before, so may have to give it a go.

  2. I love the Stila Stay All Day liner but it gets really messed up if I throw it in my checked bags when I travel which is a bit pricey. I might grab one of these to bring next time I need to go on a long haul flight and see how it holds up!

  6. A UK blogger friend of mine recommended it to me, and I picked it up when I was in the UK. EXCEPT I DIDN'T ACTUALLY GET AROUND TO TRYING IT OUT UNTIL RECENTLY, AND YEAH, SERIOUSLY GOOD STUFF. I don't own too many liquid liners and I'm a total winged liner noob, but I find this one really easy to use!
