That Time I Graduated...

Hey everyone! Just another quick life update to announce to you all that I have officially graduated! Myself, my fellow history students, and the departments of philosophy and art history all took to the Brighton Dome on Monday afternoon to walk across a stage for five seconds and shake someone's hand to formally become Sussex University graduates. The ceremony was actually full of far less pomp and boredom than I had imagined, and it was an amazing day.

Despite my hands aching by the end of the ceremony (clapping non-stop for two hours takes it's toll), it was surprisingly emotional watching my friends walk up onto the stage to collect their certificates...seeing them graduate too made our time at university seem over, once and for all. While I managed to hold back the tears, my mum couldn't resist a few tears after I'd donned my mortar board and robe....who'd have thought tears would be shed over a cape and a funny-looking hat?!

I won't go into more details about the day because it was basically clapping, listening to speeches, photos, then more clapping, so I will leave you with a few photos of the day. A big thank you to Sussex University for having me for the past 3 years, and I'm SO looking forward to be back on campus to start my Law conversion come September!

Are you graduating this summer? Or about to start university? How are you feeling about it?
