Current Faves: The 3 Hair Products I Cannot Live Without

I'm not the kind of person who has ever given much thought to hair styling. Preferring to always focus on my make-up, doing my hair meant giving it a quick curl or tying it back in some quick and effortless manner. After treating myself to some hair products every now and then, I've discovered the power they hold in being able to completely transform your barnet. An extra spritz of volumising spray could be the difference between a mediocre and fabulous hair do on a night out, so it's well worth venturing down the hair care aisles of Boots every now and then. These three products are some that are regulars in my styling routine now, and I can't see myself ever going back to life without them!

V05 Plump It Up Dry Backcombing Spray

If you saw my original review, you'll know just how much I adore this product. It is by far my most-used out of these three and never fails to inject some volume into my hair.  Spritz a little underneath your roots on the crown of your head, massage it in or backcomb (depending on how volumised you want your look to be) and voila! While this product is designed to aid backcombing, I actually prefer to use it at to base of curls to loosen them, give the illusion of thicker hair and zhuzh it up a little. It doesn't leave hair with a weird texture or leave any white marks, and for £4.19, it is definitely a product worth having in your hair styling arsenal!

Schwartzkopf Got2B Mind Blowing Fast Dry Hairspray

I've been a lover of Tresemmé hairsprays for a while now, and always thought it would take a lot to take me away from them. Got2B have done just that. Their fast-drying formula is perfect for those mornings when you can't be bothered faffing around for ages, or when you're rushed for time getting ready for a night out. Simply style your hair, spritz a bit of this on, and your 'do will be looking fabulous from day to night. This formula is super-fine and lightweight, meaning your hair is locked into place without preventing any movement or creating that horrible crunchy feeling other heavier hairsprays do. I'm loving this product at the moment; it's an affordable asset which can make a huge difference to your hair game!

Tresemmé 'Make Waves' Hairspray

This beautiful member of Tresemmé's new runway collection is my current love. I'm a huge fan of curling my hair, but find products which actually freeze and define the curl very difficult to come by. Tresemmé have created a miracle here; their Make Waves hairspray is fantastic for giving curls definition and longevity, so you won't find them dropping after a couple of hours. Spraying a little of this product on dry hair before curling creates such a difference to the overall look, making this hairspray an absolute must-have for me.

Which hair products are you loving at the moment? Have you tried any of these?

  1. I didn't really start caring about hair products until this year too--looking back on my old hairstyle...I SHUDDER. NO PRODUCT, LIMP HAIR....CRINGING AT OLD PHOTOS. That Tresemme hairspray sounds promising--my curls usually fall apart within a few hours even with hairspray, so I obviously need to upgrade my hairspray :( (but then again, my hair texture is pretty thick and stubborn)
I haven't trued any of these products, but I have the texturizing spray from that v05 plump it up line! Performs decently, but the real winner for texturizing my hair has to be CoLab's volumizing dry shampoo!

    1. Really want to try some CoLab stuff, will have to pick that up! The tresemme hairspray is the only thing that keeps my curls set for a decent amount of time :)
