Within this mini Primark beauty haul, I picked up this nail varnish remover pot (you can read my original review here). This is what I originally entered the store to repurchase; it's such a handy thing to have around and is fantastic for travelling. Nail varnish comes off within no time at all, and it even works wonders on pesky glitter varnishes! I would recommend it to anyone, and will certainly be restocking in the future.
Liquid eyeliner is something I'm really fussy about. I've tried a good few, but a lot end up in the bin after drying up within a few weeks. Primark liquid liner is bold, dark and lasts throughout the day with no problems whatsoever. The brush is super thin, making it perfect for creating precise lines close to lashes and great for getting an accurate cat flick. While it does need some getting used to (the brush seemed a bit flimsy after getting used to using a pen-style eyeliner), for £1 this is an absolute steal. It does have a tendency to crumble by the end of a long day, but this is the only negative. It's definitely worth trying out!
The last things I bought were these cute little lipglosses. While they're labelled as a lipgloss, they are definitely more balmy in texture. In all honesty, these aren't the most amazing quality, but they're definitely not awful; just your standard, mediocre lip balm. But WHO CARES about quality when you have lip balms packaged as a pig and hedgehog?! These are utterly adorable, and (let's face it) something you only really pick up because of the novelty factor anyway. Don't expect the world from these, but do expect everyone to coo over their cuteness. I couldn't resist showing you all!
Everything in this haul is £1. For this price, you expect the quality to be equally as cheap. Primark have somehow managed to create some bloody great, fun products that are a pleasure to buy and play around with. It's definitely an inexpensive way to try out new products and looks, so please P.S Love beauty a chance; it's not as bad as you'd think!
Would you buy Primark make-up? What gems have you found from there?
I think people are way too quick to judge primark and I love the nail varnish remover twist pots they are fab cant comment on the liner but want to try it now! xxx
ReplyDeleteDefinitely! You can pick up some great stuff! Xxx
DeleteI might need to pick some stuff up from there, I'm guilty of assuming that it's not good but you have changed my mind :)

There is some tat within the makeup range, but some things are surprisingly good! X
DeleteI have been loving the P.S Love range lately. Their lip liners are my favourite and their black liquid liner is great too. Each time I pop in I seem to pick something new up. :)

I really want to try the lip liners after seeing them on your blog! X
DeleteNot gonna lie, I have trust issues when clothing stores sell shoes/makeup/things that aren't clothes LOL (I MEAN, IF YOU'RE KNOWN FOR SELLING QUALITY ITEMS OF ONE TYPE, AND IF YOU START SELLING OTHER THINGS, WOULD IT STILL BE GOOD?)(This is why I can't buy makeup/beauty products from Forever21 and H&M...though I suppose Topshop has really made a name for itself in the beauty department!)
ReplyDeleteBut anyways, LIPGLOSS PACKAGING IS TOO CUTE. And 1 pound for each item?? What a steal.
I know exactly what you mean! Topshop seem to have done well, so why can't other stores?!
DeleteWow! You have me on the edge of my seat I need to try this for myself!! Love Eleanorx
