There's a funny back story to the sunglasses that made me giggle when I opened them. My mum and I visited Bicester Village last month as a shopping treat, and I actually tried these on in Prada (instantly falling deeply in love and then crying because I knew I couldn't afford them). Whilst I continued browsing the rails, my mum "nipped off to the toilet", aka running off and commencing a secret mission to buy these sunglasses without raising my suspicions. Well, it worked! I had no idea and cried little tears of designer joy when I opened them.
To be honest, I don't really need to write anything about them- the photos speak enough volume alone, no? I absolutely adore the cat-eye shape (I'm a huge fan, as seen through previous sunglasses purchases). The retro, fifties vibe just makes me melt, and the lifted cat style suits my round, chubby face shape to a tee. They really are an absolute classic shape and colour, can be worn with anything, and are definitely a timeless investment that isn't going to go out of fashion.
My favourite thing about these sunnies is the print which adorns the inside of the frame. The grey tortoise shell pattern is an incredibly beautiful contrast to the simple, black outer frame, and adds a modern yet classy twist on the classic style. I JUST LOVE THEM OK. While I am overprotective of them, I did manage to let my dog, Finlay, wear them for a while. Apparently, they "made him feel like a King" (his words, not mine).
Lets hope the sun stays out long enough for me to parade about in them! What designer item would you invest in?
