John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Liquid Shine

I first picked up the John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Liquid Shine shampoo and conditioner in a 3 for £10 offer in Asda many moons ago. While the name's a bit long, the product itself is incredible. If your idea of perfect hair is having glossy, shiny locks full of vibrant colour, then this is the shampoo and conditioner you need to get your paws on.

After re-buying them, I thought it was about time I did a review, although I did mention them in my Superdrug haul post. These products are suited to all different shades of brunette, from dark to light, and I love that these are tailored to get the best out of your colour. The formula contains Crystalline Complex which optimises the reflection of light from each strand of hair, giving that really healthy natural shine.

The shampoo lathers up a real treat and leaves my hair squeaky clean without massively tangling it in the process. Both the shampoo and conditioner are quite light, so they don't sit on the hair and weigh it down like some heavy conditioners do. My hair feels light and full of bounce when dried- something you don't often get with products that promise a lot of shine.

With a liquid base, this shampoo and conditioner are perfect for those with fine hair as it's not a necessarily thick product. Because of this, a little goes a long way and you only need a small bit of each to get results. Many brands claim to provide shine, but I find many purely a gimmick. John Frieda's Liquid Shine range is not like this at all- you can notice a difference instantly after the first use.

A shine like these products provide make your hair look super healthy and glossy, and make a huge difference to fairly dull, coloured hair. They retail at £5.99 each, but Superdrug are offering 2 for £8 or Boots are currently running a 3 for 2 offer.

Did you get your dream shine from John Frieda?
