I want to get this out of the way and say the packaging of this mascara is so tacky. As in, the beauty obsessive in me vomits a little in my mouth when I see this mascara. A clear example of how a shiny silver outing and garishly awful font goes wrong. While I guess they're keeping to the showgirl theme, it's not a product you'd necessarily be proud to whip out when doing your make-up on the train.
The plastic bristles on the wand are fairly short, but are tightly packed to maximise the impact of the formula on each individual lash. I appreciate how the individual bristles have been made the main focus, while the rest of the wand design kept simple (sometimes simple is best, no?).
The formula dries very fast, meaning it's so easy to build up volume and length if you so desire. However, when my lovely housemate, Jenny, tested this, only one application was needed to get dazzling volume. The only problem was it didn't give much volume or depth of colour after one application- I would've personally preferred a darker colour, but it's perfect for those who want to natural look.

While this isn't waterproof, I do think this is a fab mascara for those who hate spidery lashes but still want a pop of natural length. It retails for only £4.99 in Boots, Superdrug, or online, making it a great budget find.
Have you tried this mascara out?
I agree the packaging is super tacky, I wish budget brands would stick to simple yet effective packaging, no need to bring the shiny guns out! It is definitely more of a daytime mascara from the looks of it so not one I am impressed by! Great review but think I will give it a miss x

I appreciate that this formula and packaging isn't for everyone. Totally agree with you about the simple packaging, although I get the feeling this one was meant to be tacky (if that makes sense) x
DeleteI haven't tried anything from Barry M except for their nail polishes, but this looks quite nice. Seems to be the same price as Maybelline's Great Lash, but I wasn't too impressed with that one so I may look into this.

If you're looking for something around this price then I'd suggest Seventeen mascaras (they seem to be better all round). This would be great if you love your lashes to look quite natural though x
