How To Make: Mini Tortilla Wrap Pizzas

I love experimenting with recipes- although (as you can probably tell from this site), it's usually baking. However, once in  a while I will try a new savoury recipe. Although not many make it on to this site (apart from stand-out creations like these puff pastry twists), some things are just too clever/ convenient/ tasty not to share. These mini tortilla wrap pizzas are one of those things. Whenever we have meals like fajitas, there is always a wrap or two left over and we never know what to do with them. After googling some recipes, I found this ingenious way to use up these spare wraps that would otherwise be thrown away or go off. These yummy pizzas make for a super quick and easy lunch and are so incredibly more-ish. Plus they are great as party food snacks that will leave your guests happy without creating cooking stress for you!

The Best Savoury Snack: Cheddar and Bacon Pastry Straws

I have always posted a lot of recipes on this site; most of them sharing my love for baking. Cakes, brownies, biscuits and desserts...they all reflect my sweet-tooth! Apart from a couple of Slimming World recipes, I have never shared any savoury snacks on my blog. Well, this is about to change! This cheesy bacon recipe is just absolute heaven; a concoction by Lorraine Pascale who is my baking idol (sorry, Mary Berry!). My mum used to make these when I lived at home and we all used to go crazy over them- these pastry snacks are so addictive and moreish (although not so good for the waistline I must admit!). Ready to eat in about an hour, these are a fab, quick snack idea if you are having 'party food' dinners over Christmas; you can boast about how you made them yourself and the flavours will win over your guests! I have made a few tweaks to the recipe which you will find below or you can check out the original recipe here.

Slimming World Cannelloni

Since my mum joined Slimming World a couple of years ago, she has been making this delicious, healthy dinner which has since become one of my favourites. Every time I come home from university, this is the first meal on the table. This cannelloni isn't made with cannelloni pasta; instead of squeezing the mixture into tubes (an extremely messy, fiddly and annoying process!), you simply layer them with lasagne sheets. A much less time-consuming alternative! This slimming version has also ditched the white sauce which many restaurants serve within the dish, yet it still tastes superb. If your a health-conscious fan of tomato-based Italian dishes, this is the PERFECT dish for you!
