Speedy Slimming Soup

The sun made it's first proper appearance of 2013 over the bank holiday weekend just gone, and while the 'heatwave' makes some people look forward to their summer holiday plans, others dread the thought of getting into that unforgiving beachwear. Like the Slimming World brownies recipe, I'd also recommend this recipe for super-speedy Slimming World soup.

Although it may be a tongue-twister to say, it's quick and easy to make, contains about 3 of your 5 a day and completely free on the Slimming World diet. My mum, who's almost lost two stone on the diet, swears by it. Not only does it fight the flab but it tastes good too!

The ingredients are:
  • 2 tins of chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tin of carrots
  • 1 tin of baked beans
  • 2 pickled onions
  • 1/2 a pint of chicken or vegetable stock
  • Salt and pepper
  • Basil (optional)

All you need to do is grab the ingredients, chuck it in a food processor and blend until it's smooth. Keep it in the fridge and just heat it up whenever you want. It's also cheap to make; using Asda's own products (which is all you need), a batch would cost £2.21, and you'd have stock cubes and pickled onions for the next time too.

This is a really useful, healthy and filling recipe for anyone who's on this diet, trying to lose weight or just wanting to eat healthier. And as it's free on the Slimming World diet you can have as much as you want of it!
