The 5 Products That I Just Can't Live Without

It used to be a regular question thrown about in Twitter chats amongst beauty bloggers; if you were stranded on a desert island, which beauty product would you take with you? For most (including myself), it would be extremely difficult to narrow it down to just one product. However, while I'm a sucker for buying into all the new make-up launches under the sun, I still have my set few products which I always end up returning to. It's these products, the ones that you find yourself re-purchasing over and over again, which are the ones you'll find that you just cannot live without. Here are the five products that I never want to see leaving my side...

How I Banished Dry Skin With These Simple Skincare Steps

As you may know from my moaning in previous posts, I've been having some difficulties with my skin recently. For someone who usually has normal skin, to suddenly find myself with dry patches without any change to my skincare, diet or lifestyle was frustrating. It was getting to the point where whenever I applied foundation, I was get so worked up about the fact it wasn't sitting right and clinging to all the dry patches (even if they were undetectable beforehand) it would make me want to cry. I completely switched up my skincare routine to incorporate some extra nourishing products, and luckily, with a bit of patience, my skin is finally showing signs of returning back to normal. While it is still getting there, there has been such an improvement in the past couple of months through using these products, that I thought I'd share them to help anyone else suffering with dry skin, or finds their foundation refusing to sit right once applied.

Brilliant Budget Beauty: Nivea Cleansing Micellar Water and Express Hydration Primer

Firstly, sorry for the long title- I swear products are starting to have longer and longer names. Nivea have been a brand I've always loved for their skincare; they are one of the only budget brands that rival luxury skincare quality. With many cheaper ranges, you can tell why they don't cost as much as some high-end products- they leave a greasy feel, dry out your skin or generally don't live up to their claims. But I've always found Nivea to consistently produce, quite simply, bloody good products for a fraction of the price. I've recently wanted to change up my cleansing routine- the Clean & Clear deep cleansing lotion having dried my skin to within an inch of it's life. A lovely woman in Boots, Brighton, recommended this Nivea Micellar Water, and I fell in love as soon as I started using it.

Pure and Natural

Being in the sun for a week and then coming back to England to find some miraculously nice weather has not done the best of favours for my skin. Any change in weather, be it glorious sunshine or the cold winter months, dries my skin out, particularly my legs, hands and face. Not really having invested in a top class hand cream or body lotion before, I turned to a gift set of Nivea lotions I was given last Christmas, and have been using Nivea Pure and Natural body lotion and hand cream for almost the past two weeks.
