3 Relaxing Oils To Pop In Your Bath This Winter

Now that I have a non-student flat to live in, I am definitely taking advantage of being able to use a (nice, clean) bath. It's something I have missed dearly since starting university; having long, de-stressing baths were something that would be a 'treat' whenever I popped home to visit family instead! As the colder nights draw in and people start getting snuffly with illness, running a nice hot bath can be an amazing way to sooth the flu aches and help you unwind in the evening. Although bath bombs can be a fun addition, I have recently been using a few drops of these lovely bath oils alongside some basic bubble bath (I can't have a bath without bubbles!). The added aromatherapy element has been proven to not only please your nostrils but the oils help to nourish your skin and ameliorate your mental well-being through ultimate relaxation. If this isn't a reason to start using some aromatherapy oils in your bath, I don't know what is! Here are a few of my favourites to suit your different needs...

A Tasty, Natural Way To Improve Your Health With Teagime

I don't have an issue with my weight. I'm comfortable and happy with the body I love, but we all have those days where we look at ourselves and want to change part of it. Being a student, my diet pretty much only consists of bread and pasta (which really bloats my stomach and makes me look 5 months pregnant). Juggling uni, a job and this blog often catches up with me, and, even when I attempt to improve my diet, the stresses of life leave me feeling lethargic and the effects become visible on my body and skin. We all remember a short while ago when weight-loss teas were the coolest new thing, but instead of shedding pounds in the short term through those awful, laxative teas, I wanted something which would benefit my health and well-being more generally. Let me introduce Teagime.

3 Beautiful Products To Make Your Bath-Time Even More Relaxing

Baths are so underrated. Whilst showers are great for speed and efficiency in the morning, there's nothing better than stepping into a hot, bubbly bath with a cup of tea (or glass of wine) to unwind in the evening. Although it's not quite as nice in a grubby student house, there's always something so relaxing about baths. Whether it's the allocation of some time to have to yourself, a moment to just wallow in water and think about blissful nothingness, or a chance to try a plethora of products to pamper yourself with, it's always seen as a little bit of indulgence after a hard week. There are so many products you can pop in your bath to make it even more luxurious, but these three have all your needs covered.

Start Seeing The Positives In Your Mental Health Battle

Mental health illnesses can be completely debilitating. They can sneak up on you when you least expect them and turn your world upside down. They are powerful, far more powerful than many people dare to realise. But suffering doesn't have to be a negative experience. Even the word 'suffering' itself has wholly negative connotations; that's simply the meaning of the word. So how can suffering ever be positive? Rather than seeing yourself as a victim of a mental health illness or disorder, I find it far healthier to view it either as a battle (which you positively have a chance of winning) or as an integral part of yourself (alongside the mantra of loving yourself, flaws included). If you are struggling with any form of mental health issues at the moment, hopefully this post will demonstrate that it can be flipped from that default 'suffering' outlook, to something far more grounded, positive and beneficial to you.
