Roller Lash features a curved brush designed to lift lashes (much like hair rollers) whilst coating them in a super dark formula, while little hooks amidst each of the bristles really help to lock that lift into place while simultaneously creating defined, separated lashes. This brush really helps to clamp down on clumping; each lash is beautifully separated but still coated with a good amount of the formula. While this mascara isn't the best out there for adding length or oodles of volume to your flutter, this is one of the best for lift and definition.
Like the other infamous Benefit mascara, They're Real, this mascara is not waterproof. However, this is one of the only drawbacks of this product. The formula is long-lasting, sees minimal crumbling, and dries quickly enough to layer it up (if that's your style). When my mum (aka guinea pig) tested this out for me, she only needed one coat of Roller Lash in order to get her desired result. Being someone who usually curls her lashes before applying mascara, she deemed the lift the brush gives good enough to ditch the curlers in the morning. Each lash was defined and given the right amount of darkness, curl and length.
While many Benefit launches seem to generate an unnecessary amount of hype for the actual quality of the product, this is one that actually deserves the coverage it's receiving. It gets a big thumbs up from my mum (who is extremely fussy about her mascaras), so that speaks volume! This mascara is definitely for you if you look for curl, lift and definition. It is due for release in March and will retail at £19.50, so I strongly advise you pick up your copy of Elle pronto before they all disappear. £4 for a preview of a fab new mascara? Don't mind if I do.
What do you think of this new Benefit launch?
I really liked this, I didn't stop curling my lashes because they're stick straight and I don't really believe a mascara can curl them like I want but it is really good and holds the curl all day! I think it's definitely just as good as the they're real and I actually picked up two Elle magazines haha

I'm so tempted to buy another magazine and stock up on samples! X
DeleteI really liked it! I did find it a pain to get off though. I always think the new maybelline lash sensational is so similar - the brushes are identical! Need to do a comparison soon :) x

Ooh that'll be an interesting comparison! I thought it was quite easy to remove- way easier than they're real!
DeleteI got this from Elle as well (because I had to haha). I really liked it as well but I don't know if I could justify paying the amount for it :P I'm just tight!
