But you are not a mess. There are so many people like us and it is far more common/normal than you think...it's just that no-one ever speaks about it! I can't stop. Even if I bleed, I don't stop. I would get a full set of acrylic nails to cover my stubby nails, but I would chew those off as well. I buy glue on nails as those are WAY cheaper than full sets of acrylic . I also pull out my eyelashes. I'm a mess.Anissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14476561530305735318noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4713757750176352904.post-89983761646609532832017-12-17T09:39:25.562+00:002017-12-17T09:39:25.562+00:00I'm so glad to hear you've found ways to k...I'm so glad to hear you've found ways to keep it under control. Is there anything in particular that seems to help you? Also very interesting that your mum also has it! I've suffered since I was a tiny toddler (interestingly my mum does as well) and it has permanently changed the way my skin forms around my thumbs (which are my most affected area). Like you, it's only been very recently that I've accepted and acknowledged that this is tied to my mental health, and that I shouldn't beat myself up over it (I used to be furious with myself, putting myself down for my lack of willpower). I'm slowly getting better, and it's much more under control than it used to be, but it's so helpful to hear how other sufferers deal with it - every little helps! xxAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
