Getting Festive! Christmas Gift Ideas For Beauty Lovers (For All Budgets)

It's that time of the year: festive songs are being played in shops, mince pies are being stocked in supermarkets, and your thoughts turn to the dreaded task of Christmas shopping. It's a part of Christmas that most people dread, but not me- I'm one of those weirdos that start their planning their Christmas shopping in September! Having written endless plans and lists of potential gift ideas for relatives (organisation is key in such a tremendous task), I thought I would do the job for you and compile a list of the best beauty buys that have started arriving in stores for Christmas. Whether they serve as Christmas gifts ideas for family, friends, or a little treat to yourself (go on, you deserve it), here are some of the best beauty gift sets available these holidays for all budgets.

The Secret Santa Saviour: Barry M Pout 'n' About (£6.49)

I stumbled across this palette and just thought it was so cute. While the packaging may seem to fit the cardboard trend appearing at the moment, it does slightly cheapen the product. Nevertheless, I think this dinky palette of five gorgeous lip shades (ranging from bright pinks, nudes and dark reds) would be the perfect Christmas gift for younger beauty lovers who are just starting out with their experimentation with make-up. It's a wonderful stocking filler or Secret Santa gift, although maybe not one for the serious beauty addicts!

The Nail Art One: Seventeen Endless Effects Nail Gift Set (£5.99)

This first caught my eye when I was strolling around Boots one afternoon. Seventeen have some incredible products out at the moment; their packaging has had a bit of a revamp and their products are looking all the better for it. This little nail art set comes with three different nail varnishes; a silver base (needed for the special effects to work), a more coral tone and a deeper red shade. Combined, these create, well, 'endless effects' for your nails, with some examples shown on the back of the box and in a little leaflet inside if you get stumped for ideas. This would be perfect for any nail art lovers!

The Lipstick Lover: BareMinerals Love At First Kiss (£39)

Although these have been mentioned on the blogosphere since they launched a few weeks ago, I couldn't resist including these beautiful lipsticks. A collection of ten mini Marvelous Moxie lipsticks, these would go down well with any lipstick hoarder lover. While they do cost £39, these ten lipsticks are valued at £72, so it is a bit of a bargain. The packaging is gorgeously decorated with a black and gold floral design, and are the perfect size for popping in your handbag. All the shades are beautiful and so wearable, the formula of the Moxie range is infamously divine, and the cute minis would look superb on any dressing table.

The Fun Addition: Beauty Christmas Crackers (prices vary)

You may have noticed a new trend among all the Christmas launches this year. While advent calendars are still having their moment, there is a new, cooler kid on the block these holidays: the Christmas Cracker. Filled with excitingly mysterious beauty goodies, these are a great way of adding a bit of fun to your Christmas beauty gifts. A range of brands have brought out their own crackers to either give as amazing Secret Santa gifts or set around a glamourous dining table; these are certainly something a bit different to put on your Christmas list this year! The Luxury Gift: YSL Rouge Pur Couture and Nail Varnish Set

I reviewed these products a few weeks ago and they haven't left my lips/nails since. Sometimes, it isn't worth splashing out loads where you can get amazing dupes for less, but these YSL products are totally different. This cute little gift set includes a shade from their best-selling Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain range, sitting next to its nail varnish colour equivalent on a velvet bed; very similar to their 'Love and Lacquer' red set from last year. The quality of these products are unrivaled, and I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat. I'm a bit in love with the red set- perfect for Christmas! These don't seem to be available online, but I know they definitely have them in Boots, Brighton...keep 'em peeled!

Are any of these going on your Christmas list? Have any other gift sets caught your eye this year?
