Nonetheless, our holiday route took us from Athens to Paros, to Naxos, then finally back to the capital city. Each place was beautiful and truly offered something for everyone. Whether you're a foodie, fan of history, adventure-seeker, or a relax-by-the-beach-all-day type of person, these islands will provide everything you're looking for. As a history nerd, I wanted to do a lot of exploring. We went to the Acropolis (and museum) in Athens, before discovering the Portara (a 2,500 year old marble arch ruin) and the ancient market town in Naxos. Talk about a history student's dream! Anyway, while in total we spent nearly a whole day on ferries, and despite the fact I didn't manage to tan at all (#palegirlproblems), we had a wonderful time, and I would strongly recommend exploring a few Greek islands if you love an adventure! 1 Acropolis, 10 ice-creams, 3 ferries and a million Frappés later, here are some photos from the travels....
