OOTD: Rose Mini Skirt

While summer has been and gone, the excise to wear pretty mini skirts hasn't. I bought this quite a while ago from sheinside.com and have been itching for an excuse to wear it. What better excuse than my little blog?! I love the elegant print on this skirt- it's so feminine without the rose being overbearing and completely taking over. If there was such thing as a good amount of roses, this is it.

The fabric is actually quite silky, which I wasn't expected when I ordered it, and it's a lot more puffy than I had imagined. Nonetheless, I think it's still a cute little piece that can be worn to bring a bit of summer to all sorts of events.

I'm a firm believer in simple style- I applaud those who can pull off a multitude of prints at once, but for me, basic and classy is my motto. Because the skirt was fairly busy, I teamed it with this black Primark top which features a sheer back and lace detail around the top and collar. I love how it brings something a little bit interesting whilst retaining a nice level of simplicty.

These black Asos wedges are fabulous to wear out- I find wedges so much easier to walk in! Added comfort is always a bonus, and these beauties will go with anything.

Being back in Brighton, I am a bit nervous of wearing this near the windy seafront but I think it's just too pretty to be hidden at the back of my wardrobe throughout Autumn!

  3. Hello! Just discovered your blog via Twitter. :) This outfit is so cute, but you are a brave girl for wearing it in Brighton! I went there for the first time a couple of weeks ago, wore a dress and spent most of the evening trying to hold it down!

Anyway, you have a lovely blog here, I look forward to reading more. :)
