OOTD: Retro Polka Dots

Living in Brighton, you can't walk through town without seeing someone in some retro or vintage inspired outfit. I love the old-school glamour of it all, and being a history student, I love having the chance to take bits of my favourite eras and incorporate them into the way I dress to express a little part of my personality. That's what style is all about, right?! I found this adorable polka dot dress on rosewe.com and have been in love with it ever since.

Most of my clothing collection is dresses. They are just so easy to throw on in the morning, leaving more time to set aside for hair and make-up, and this cute one takes minimal effort to style. The detail around the neckline and retro ra-ra style skirt makes it so feminine, while the monochrome polka dot print just screams 50s fun!

I'm always a bit dubious when ordering clothes from unknown shops abroad, not only from the money side, but also sizing. However, all was safe, the dress turned up within the time frame they had originally determined, and the fit was perfect. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better fit if I tried! I definitely got lucky...

A dress as fun and cute as this calls for bright, girly accessories, so what's more perfect than this neon lemon-yellow Primark bag (which you might have spotted on this site a while ago)? It's just big enough to hold all the essentials for a night out too, so this is a winner in my eyes.

I go a bit mad for flats, as you might have guessed from this Primark haul post, and these New Look beauties are one of my favourite pairs ever! I love the gold stud detail, although they do provide you with very odd tan lines in the summer.

Both the necklace and cocktail ring are from Primark- they are seriously ruling the statement necklace territory at the moment! You can't go wrong with a bit of Primarni jewellery to jazz up an outfit.
