The starlet always seems to have a flawless, youthful complexion, so I used Bourjois' 'Healthy Mix' foundation. This foundation gives great coverage and a beautiful dewy finish to make the skin glow. I also dabbed a bit of Collection's 'Illuminating Touch' concealer underneath my eyes and on any other imperfection, and set it with some lightly brushed on Avon powder.
Zooey has a really subtle, natural blush to her cheeks so I gently swept some Vivo blusher in a really light, shimmery pink just on the apples of my cheeks and a bit just underneath my cheekbones. I used my Accessorize highlighter on the tops of my cheekbones too in order to give them a bit more definition.
Zooey uses lots of browns and golds on her lids to really bring out her vividly blue eyes, so I instantly reached for MUA's 'Undressed' palette. These eyeshadows contain an array of gorgeous, shimmery golds and browns, and is a fantastic all-rounder which is perfect for both daytime and night beauty looks. For a simple day look, I simply applied a light brown shimmer all over the lid; for an evening look, add the darker brown (underneath it on the palette) to the outer corners of your eyes and blend. I also took this darker brown onto the botton lash line, taking 3/4 of the way in (leaving the quarter nearest to the inner corner of the eye).

To make the eyes seem bigger, and try and replicate Zooey's doe-eyed look, I took a bit of powder highlighter (Accessorize) on my eyeshadow brush and dabbed it around the inner corner of my eyes, and swept it just underneath the brow bone.
|MUA 'Undressed', brush is on the shadow used. Sorry for how messy the palette is; it was reduced due to damage (cheapskate alert!)|
After applying a couple of coats of L'Oreal's Extra-Volume Collagen mascara, I used false lashes to get that big-eyed fluttery effect. I cut each of my Primark 'Natural' lashes in half; this makes it so much easier to fix them in the exact position you want and gets them even closer to the lashline. I only used the outer half of each lash, and fixed it accordingly to the outer half of my lid; I think doing this creates an even more natural look, and gives you that gorgeous cat-eye, femme-fatale look Zooey has going on.
I drew a thin line of Collection's liquid eyeline on my top lid, making sure the highest/ thickest point of the line was over where my pupil is, before creating a small flick at the outer corner to really define the feline shape. The finishing touches to the eye make-up was a thin coat of mascara on my bottom lashes and a white eyeliner on my bottom waterline to emphasise that doll-type look.
Zooey's lip colour always stays fairly natural, but if she does wear a lipstick she loves bright red hues; think 1950s screen siren. As I was doing day make-up I just lightly buffed a bit of No7's Stay Perfect lipstick in a rosey shade onto my lips.
I finished the look by creating Jess-style bouncy curls using this no-heat tutorial! I think this look is great for daytime; she always seems to have such a natural look but still looks great. If you haven't watched New Girl...go do it now!!
